Irregular Speed of Rotation in the Hooke's Joint: Visualization and Study of its Influence on the Value of the Forces into the Pivot and on the Strength of the Forks

摘要

This study presents a simplified version for load determination in the limit positions of the forks and the dependencies to specify the forces in the hinges of the forks at a set angle. It is proven that not always maximum stress values are caused when operating in two limit positions, and this contradicts the existing design recommendations in the literature. Difficult to observe special features of the Hooke's joint operation under the conditions of variable values of the transmission ratio are illustrated.
