Infants can cry soon after birth. In the first year of life, they start speaking to imitate some of the words spoken by the people around them. This is due to the ability of vocal learning. For this ability, it is necessary that the aural-oral loop is constructed in their neural structure to control their vocalization by hearing their own voice. To control vocalization, it is important that infants perceive and recognize their own-cry especially. In this study, we analyzed the infants' owncry perception by near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) measurement.
