PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for language acquisition assistance that is very suitable to a user for mastering a certain language by using verse capping, and a program and a method therefor.;SOLUTION: Input of a word presented by the user is received, candidate words, other than words which are already received or already outputted, which include the ending character of the presented word as their initials are automatically extracted from a specified word dictionary according to the ending character of the presented word, and choice preference showing the degree of advantage in verse capping depending upon characters is computed by the candidate words according to specified quantitative static data for winning the verse capping as to each character included in the word dictionary is computed, so that a candidate word which can be an answer word is determined according to the computed choice preference and then outputted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
