During the last years, it's been observed that the population pyramid tends to decline in favor of seniorpopulation. In the medical field, an increase of surgical patients can be seen, in whom it is reported a majorincidence of Cognitive Deterioration Post Anesthesia (CDPA). To date it hasn't been possible to distinguish ifthere's any anesthetic technique that diminishes the anesthetic risk in this ethereal group.
