The passage was aimed to solve the problem of calculation of the straightening force and straightening stroke accurately. The finite element method was adopted to establish a load-deflection model of the press straightening process; the loading force of real yield of the part was worked out with DEFORM; then the actual loading or unloading were completed in MARC with the loading force gained from DEFORM in order to achieve the residuary deflection of spring back at the pressure surface and the max deflection value of actual stroke; By fitting data of many points of the pressure surface, a function was abstracted with MATLAB. The high accuracy, simple and easy operability and flexible application of the method provided a way to calculate and control straightening stroke of automatic straightening machine.
