Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has made significant impact on our society and education in general. Malaysia, as a developing country, has implemented a plan that integrates ICT into classroom which will produce a highly skilled workforce in technology by the year 2020. The successful implementation of this plan will require teachers in Malaysia to acquire the requisite skills and knowledge in integrating ICT in their teaching. This study investigated the attitudes and the use of ICT among pre-service Visual Art Education teachers at the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. A Teacher Technology Survey was administered to measure four factors related to the integration ICT in classroom (general and specific uses of ICT, attitudes toward ICT and areas of improvement). The findings indicated that the Visual Art Education preservice teachers used ICT moderately in conducting instruction in art classroom. Even though they were aware of the impotency of integrating ICT into their daily instruction, their level of proficiency were reported only at moderate level. Owing to the fact that lack of relevant professional development and support from school administrator in term of time flexibility, facilities and Internet connection access, the teachers’ beliefs that their levels of ICT integration in the art classroom will be increased. It is envisaged that the findings of this study will contribute towards the understanding of the important of ICT integration in the Visual Art Education subject area. It’s also hoped that this study will act as a guide for school organization and Malaysian Ministry of Education toward establishing a standard of successful ICT integration.
