Climate Risks Some Efforts in Russia and Request for High Temporal Resolution Climate Series

The paper contains two main parts. The first part is an overview of recent climate-related official documents that were prepared and published in the Russian Federation. The second part contains description and interpretation of some approaches to assess climate variability and climate trends in time series of climate characteristics, which are vital to assessing climate risks. Unlike some traditional approaches to climate trends and related climate risk estimations, an approach that provides more detailed description of climate trends—but needs more detailed description of climate processes on a temporal scale—is recommended and interpreted. Some graphs of climate trends are provided. Plots of climate trends as a function of quantile values of temperatures are provided.
