Concept and Research Progress of Order Scheduling Problem in Production Scheduling System

摘要

Over the past few decades, there have been a substantial number of research papers dedicated to conventional production scheduling(CPS) problems whose performance has generally been evaluated by the completion time of jobs. These research results cannot be extended to customer order scheduIing(COS) problems due to the fact that an order usually consists of more than one job. Delivery of an order is not possible until either all jobs of the order are completed or the jobs of the specified suborders are completed. Due to the difficulty of COS problems, known researches and comprehensive literatures on the issue are scarce. Aiming at promoting research in the field and clarifying the relationship between COS and CPS, this paper analyzes the concepts of order and job in CPS context and reviews the development of COS problems in four categories.
