Six new poly(aryl ether sulfone)s were synthesized from 1,5-, 2,6- and 2,7- Bis-(4-fluorosulfonyl)naphthalene isomers with different diphenol. The structure of the poly(aryl ether sulfone)s were characterized by IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis, and the results were in good agreement with the expected structures. The glass transition temperatures were found to be in the range 219-236°C by DSC thermal analysis. The WAXD and thermogravimetric analyses revealed amorphous morphology and excellent thermal stability of the polymers.
