@@ Peptide nucleic acid (PNA) is a synthetic mimic of DNA and RNA which can bind to complementary DNA, RNA or another PNA with high affinity and sequence specificity according to Watson-Crick base pairing nules[1,2]. This property makes it not only a potential antisense and antigene drug candidate, but also useful in other applications, such as solid phase hybridization, nucleic acid capture and bioconjugation[1,3,4].
