Analysis on the promoting effect of government’s science and technology investment in the development of information industry — A Case Study of U.S. information industry

The science and technology investment of U.S. government has played a significant role in the rapid development of information industry, and the three key fields in science and technology investment are basic research, applied research and achievements transformation. This paper analyzes the action mechanism of governments’ investment in information industry, builds a model and simulates the mechanism with the application of System Dynamics. With the simulation results of the model, this paper carried out analysis on the promoting effect of governments’ science and technology investment in the added value and technological innovation capability of information industry, and extracted some factors with regularity.
