Sea Trials of Huan Dao Jiao Long Submersible

Acrylic-hulled submersible is able to maximize customer satisfaction of underwater viewing experiences, which is becoming the trend of the submersible. Huan Dao Jiao Long, China's first acrylic-hulled submersible, is designed and constructed by China Ship Scientific Research Center. The difficulties of obsolete domestic underwater vehicles rules and missing regulatory guidelines have been overcome. Huan Dao Jiao Long's development and sea trials were both accomplished in 2016. This paper initially reviews the course of the submersible, and emphatically illustrates items and contents of its sea trials. Finally, the follow-up development is prospected.
