Microneedles (MNs) patch has been extensively developed as a new technique for minimally invasive transdermal drug delivery in recent years. MNs patches used for in vivo tests are usually designed in 0.5 cm~2 - 1 cm~2 size, while estimated suitable patch size for humans is 10 cm~2 – 30 cm~2. For clinical applications, it is easier to apply the single patch than multiple patches at required site. Moreover, MNs patch in large area can be easily utilized for upper and low back, abdomen, thighs, hands, chest, etc. However, a significant barrier remaining to products of MNs patches in large area being available commercially is due to few feasible methods for fabricating MNs patches in large area used for humans. In addition, due to the skin elastic property, MNs cannot enter the skin entirely without flexible substrate and are usually applied on skin long time before peeled off.
