Risk assessment information system of Changbaishan volcano is studied in this paper supported by geographical information system and remote sensing and combined with historical statistical data based on the comprehensive analysis of Changbaishan volcano under the needs of risk assessment and pre-warning system of Changbaishan volcano. The system is divided into four modules, namely, monitoring subsystem, forecast subsystem, disaster assessment subsystem and emergence rescue line subsystem, mainly including historical database, related environmental database and remote sensing information database. The establishment of the system will play an important role in volcanic hazards research by using geographical information system and remote sensing, monitoring and forecasting volcano activities and reasonable layout of the economic planning in Changbaishan region.
