Comparison of two different model-based calibration approaches for gasoline engine warm-up and catalyst heating on the engine test bench

摘要

In recent years emission legislation has become more and more restrictive causing increased calibration efforts during the vehicle development process. This paper describes two methods for cycle replication and two methods for the optimization of ECU parameters and ECU functionality including the design of experiment, modelling and optimization procedures.
