摘要

Mechanical analysis of high coupler-style steel tubular formwork supports has been a challenging task that poses many practical difficulties not only because of their complex boundary conditions and artful structural details but also because of lacking a realistic analytical model of their coupler-style connections. Based on the analytical model that could reflect the semi-rigid characteristic of coupler-style connections, the 3-D member finite element models according to a typical example of practical engineering were built. Numerical simulation technique was used to investigate the role of different bracing configurations and casting paths. Based on that, some references were proposed for practical engineering.
