The development of a social survey questionnaire for the investigation of human response to vibration in residential environments
The objective of this study is to yield a relationship between vibration exposure and human response in residential environments. The protocol involves a social study questionnaire based on face-to-face interviews, and the measurement of vibration outside and inside residences. The project is expected to entail a wide scale study of 2000 case studies, with the vibration sources of interest being those beyond the control of residents. This paper will describe the development of the social survey questionnaire, its implementation, and some early field study results.
