Scale, Net-scale and Skills – three competing concepts to achieve competitiveness in the CV industry

Strategy Engineers has researched what it takes for truck OEMs to be financially successful (profitable) and arrived at the conclusion that a combination of scale, net-scale and skill is required. Neither concept alone is sufficient, however to achieve sustainable profitability in the industry. In fact, OEMs need to focus on building net-scale, which we defined as scale per product configuration. It cannot be built or maintained without a strong skill set.
