Methodological study and characterization of the industrial heritage of the Autonomous Community of Galicia

This work analyzes the industrial heritage of Galicia by the application of the methodology for the study of this typology developed by the authors in previous works. The main basis of the methodology are exposed and the sample of immovable goods considered on this territory is significantly increased. Then the whole criteria structure of the developed catalogue is applied to all the identified assets. Thus, many aspects of interest for this typology are analyzed. Traditional productive sectors in the area of study are identified and exemplified with the assets of interest currently preserved. Preindustrial and industrial assets are differentiated. And, in the same way, the direct or indirect link to the productive process is analyzed. The current state and, when it exists, the new use, are considered too.
