A Wide Open Throttle (WOT) engine performance, combustion and emission characteristics of a single-cylinder spark ignition engine was investigated with different ethanol-blended gasolines. Three different blends low (10% Ethanol), medium (30% Ethanol) and high (70% Ethanol) ethanol-gasoline blends were investigated. The investigation was conducted on AVL single-cylinder research engine with provision to measure in-cylinder, high-pressure traces for combustion analysis.
