Since founding of New China, especially since the reform and opening-up, tea industry has greatly developed. Nowadays, there are 20 tea-producing provinces, autonomous regions and cities, in which there are about 80 million tea-related people. Tea industry has become an important pillar industry and the preponderant export and foreign currency earning industry of the main tea-production areas. It has made great effects to promotion of agricultural restructuring, increasing farmers' income and job opportunities, and the building of socialism new countryside.
