摘要

Finite Element solver for viscous incompressible flows is introduced in the paper, based on the Newton method adopted to treat the non-linear convection term combined with frontal method for solution of the resulting linearized system. The solver is applied in the algorithm for solution of fluid-structure interaction problems built on the domain-decomposition approach allowing to uncouple fluid and solid and using the ALE method as mesh updating procedure. The solver is also called upon for numerical experiments in analysis of the novel kinematic decomposition technique TDM, which is also briefly introduced in the paper. Some possibilities of improvement of the solver to enhance its capabilities for higher Reynolds number flows are mentioned.
