Computerised Support in Prosthetics

摘要

The production and fitting of advanced prostheses are in the hands of properly educated prosthetists and orthotists, in accordance with the standards of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO). Nowadays CAD (Computer Aided Design) - CAM ( Computer Aided Manufacturing) systems are becoming more user friendly and efficient in research and in everyday practice with different patients. In collaboration with partners the Institute for Rehabilitation has developed high resolution CAD-CAM technology for manufacturing of silicone prostheses after partial finger or hand amputation. The first results of the use of high resolution CAD-CAM system in the manufacturing of finger or hand prostheses will be presented.
