STENCIL PERFORMANCE COMPARISON/AMTX ELECTROFORM VS. LASER-CUT ELECTROFORM NICKEL FOIL

There have been recent claims in the SMT assembly industry that Laser-Cut Electroform Nickel foil blanks provide stencil print performance comparable to Electroform stencils. A comparison test was set up to measure the quantitative differences in performance between the two stencil types at an independent test laboratory. The results show a significant difference in print performance. The AMTX Electroform stencil outperformed the Laser-Cut Electroform Nickel foil by a large margin.
