Application of CISDI-ECIA Material Storage Technology in Bulk Materials Handling Plant of Baosteel Shanghai

The Bulk Materials Handling Plant of Baosteel Shanghai is one of the largest and most up-to-date integrated bulk materials handling & storage facilities in the world. Before the major overhaul and modernization, all its material yards with 31 stockpiles in total were open-air, frequented by serious environmental pollution and material losses. To realize green, intelligent and efficient production, CISDI-ECIA material storage technology has been employed to carry out the major overhaul and modernization of the BMHP without causing interruption to production from 2011 to 2019 under the principle of Plan in One Go. Implement in Different Steps. After completion of the major overhaul and modernization, the BMHP of Baosteel Shanghai has become a super-large, sophisticated, eco-friendly, highly efficient bulk materials handling facility equipped with enclosed material yards of Types B, C and E, eventually achieving the objective that Ores are stored under sheds, coal is contained in bins, and materials being handled are invisible, yielding huge social and economic benefits for Baosteel Shanghai.
