Attention and feature grouping in a vehicle guidance

摘要

This paper describes how saccades can be employed during tracking and how this can result in improved performance in a vision-based driving assistance system. The tests carried out involved tracking pedestrians from a moving vehicle and show that attention-based processing has a general potential to substantially increase computing speed.
