Characterized as renewable and environmental friendly resources, microbial oils are promising substitutes of petroleum for lubricant base oil preparation. The first research on basic problems correlated with tribology and key technique of lubricant-oils based upon microbial oil were carried out. The tribological properties of this new kind of lubricant- oils based upon microbial oils modified with Schiff base copper complex were studied.
