Protein film voltammetry is a relatively new technique, which examines a film of electroactive protein that is adsorbed directly onto the electrode surface with voltammetric methods. It is very useful to develop third-generation biosensors. Due to the diversified choices of the materials for entrapping proteins and the choices of the biological macromolecules themselves, more and more novel biosensors have been reported. In this paper, I will mainly present the recent findings in my lab so as to exchange research ideas with the colleagues in the sensor community.
