摘要

The temporal evolution of electrostatic waves, propagating perpendicular to an external background magnetic field, is investigated solving numerically the Vlasov-Poisson system of equations. In the velocity space, the cylindric geometry is used in order to describe the rotation of the particles around the direction of the magnetic field. The long time behavior of the self-consistent electric field is investigated in the linear and in the fully nonlinear regimes.
