Processing of Dual-Phase Steel on CSP Plants

The market for hot-rolled strip is subject to continuous change with regard to the demands made on products and technologies (Fig. 1). This change has become particularly evident since the introduction of CSP technology in 1989. At 40 million t/a, the production capacity of the CSP facilities installed worldwide in the last 15 years is distinctly higher than that of new high-capacity hot strip mills.
