摘要

Improvement of aerodynamic performance of airfoil and/or blade is an eternal problem in fluid and turbo machines. In addition, the operation with keeping the high efficiency is and will be very important in the view point of energy saving and maintenance. On the other hand, the recent development of a wide chord fan blade in a jet engine will push to adopt a multielement fan blade in future. Considering these backgrounds, in the present study, the effect of local roughness on a multielement airfoil is numerically investigated. Through this study, it is confirmed that the local roughness on the leading edge has a strong influence on the aerodynamic performance.
