摘要

Micro-phase separation of diblock copolymer is controlled by the thermodynamic driving forces that results from interactions of the disparate segments. Mean-field approximations has been extensively applied in theoretical calculations to predict the resultant phase diagrams of block copolymer.The equilibrium morphologies are a function, in part, of the volume fraction of each component. The control over morphologies at length scales comparable to the domain sizes of block copolymers has made possible several nanotechnological applications. These include templates for lithography and magnetic storage devices.
