Zienkiewicz-Zhu type a posteriori error estimators are studied for 3D problems and applied to mesh adaptivity.In a first part we present a variation of the SPR technique,the MPR(Minimal Patch Recovery)method,which is based on using a minimal specific patch for the recovery technique and,on an accurate introduction of boundary conditions.The effectivity of the MPR technique is then compared,in term of accuracy,to more classical estimators in the frame of a velocity/pressure formulation for 3D-elasticity problem.In a second part,the focus is put on the adaptive strategies and their application to error control of 3D non-steady metal forming simulation.
