This research focuses on process reengineering in the health examination department of a medical center. The purpose is to propose an optimal process by using simulation techniques for modeling analysis and process reengineering of a health examination department. The simulation process is based on the assumptions of fixed resource allocation and distribution. We hope to reduce system time of health examination efficiently and effectively and control the waiting time within the normal range while achieving an objective of improving the quality of health care. The results show that all the experiments can reduce system time of health examinations and average waiting time for patients except for package F. For the future work, expenses of patients could be included for the further evaluation of cost-effectiveness after process reengineering of the health examination department.
