Delivery of exogenous materials into cells in an effective and efficient manner has been of great interest and studied extensively due to its wide applications in biology and medicine. In this study, we present a nanoneedle-mediated intracellular delivery method, which could achieve high-throughput delivery of molecules in various sizes by physically disrupting the cell’s plasma membrane with extremely sharp tips of needles. In this study, the proposed method has been successfully applied to deliver model molecules with various sizes ranging from 0.6 to 500 kDa into human prostate cancer cells (DU145).
