On Passenger Safety Analyses of Commuter Trains

摘要

Crashworthiness and passive safety are becoming crucial targets for the development of modern rail vehicles. In this paper the models developed for a dynamic crash analysis of a computer train are explained, numerical simulation results gained from the vehicle/passenger models are shown, and design opportunities to improve and optimize the passenger safety are discussed.
