In this paper we define an information taxonomy and a method to populate it in support of the Army Research Laboratory's (ARL) Robotics Collaborative Technology Alliance (CTA). This information taxonomy expands upon a previously described decision-making taxonomy to include information importance, perception and crew readiness. To populate this taxonomy, we define a series of equations to generate an overall probability that a specific decision or course of action (COA) will produce the desired result. The data collected on the information and crew properties will be organized into a matrix of information elements and information properties. Finally, the taxonomy will be combined with the cognitive requirements for soldiers to develop a COA in tactical operations, using the Improved Performance Research Integration Tool (IMPRINT). To assist the user in data collection, we have provided tables which demonstrate how the variables will be structured in IMPRINT and worksheets that both aid in organization of the data and provide a means to deal with unknown data elements.
