The usage of polyurethane systems blown with hydrocarbons in the appliance industry has increased tremendously over the last years.The introduction of the blends of hydrocarbons and especially cyclo-pentane/isopentane and cyclo-pentane/iso-butane systems played an important role in this increase.The introduction of the new systems to the market is driving the appliance manufacturrs to progress on the reduction of density for cost effectiveness.The most important factor that the reduction of density affects is the long-term dimensional stability.
