White light emitting devices (WOLEDs) using semiconducting organic compounds have been widely investigated for application as emissive layers in flat panel display backlights, as well as in solid state lighting.Several WOLED architectures have been previously demonstrated, including those comprised of hybrid inorganic-organic3 materials, small molecular dye mixtures4, conjugated polymer blends5, and multi-layered systems based on sequential energy transfer. Among these, WOLEDs using conjugated polymers have received considerable interest due to the low cost potential of solution-based processing.,8
