Nanoparticles made of polyelectrolytes complexation (PEC) have shown potential for use as drug delivery systems ,we have reported the complexation nanoparticles of Chitosan (CS) with Tripolyphosphate (TPP) and glycyrrhetic acid (GLY) which show good controlled drug-release properties In this presentation, we introduce the other ionic polyelectrolyte, polyaspartic acid (PAsp), to form polyelectrolyte complex nanoparticles with CS. CS-PAsp nanoparticles were prepared by dropping method as reported. 5-fluorouracil (5FU) was incorporated by dissolved into CS solution, and then the drug-loaded nanoparticles were cross-linked by Glutaraldehyde (GLA) (G- CS-PAsp-m). Here we reported the mean size (by DLS), morphological structure (TEM) of CS-PAsp nanoparticles and their drug-loaded properties.
