The development of affinity chromatography and its application in separation processes of biomolecules is strictly connected with the availability of specific stationary phase,useful for the separation to be performed.Thus the development of new ligands and the chemistry connected with the feasibility of their immobilisation on polymeric supports are the bases for the realisation of functionalised matrices suitable for the recovery of the desired bio-molecules.
