The relationship between the extraction rate of proteins and the formation of the complex in aqueous salt solution was investigated. The extraction rate of lysozyme was measured from the aqueous phase presaturated with an organic surfactant AOT solution in advance. In Nad aqueous system, the rate from aqueous solution containing the surfactant was similar to that from the unsaturated organic solution, whereas in KCl media, the faster extraction was observed in the surfactant containing solution in the range of lower salt concentration. The solubilization rate of AOT from organic to aqueous KCl phase was lower than that to NaCl solution. We can conclude that the complex formation of protein and surfactant promoted the protein extraction.
