Deformation analysis based on shield tunnelling and soil conditions with case studies from Shanghai Metro tunnels

摘要

This paper treats ground movements and deformation in different stages of shield tunnelling. It provides estimation of deformations by considering the affects of construction factors and characteristics of disturbed soils. The computation uses a computing soft program EXCL. The method is applied to analyse deformations of Shanghai Metro tunnels, and it shows that the analytical technique illustrate in this paper has practical applications.
