摘要

The strength of the strong coupling, α_s, of QCD has been measured in e~+e~- annihilation from distributions of event shape variables and jet rates. Data collected at center-of-mass energies from 30 GeV to 196 GeV have been analyzed and compared with improved analytical QCD calculations. The running of α_s is clearly demonstrated.
