Microstructure of micro injection molded polymer parts

摘要

Polypropylene microstructured with micro columns array were made by micro injection molding process. The diameter of micro columns are separately 60, 90, 110 and 130μm. The mcirostructure of these micro columns are analyzed by different methods. Results of polarized light microscopic and SEM observation reveal that these micro columns all represent "skin-core" structure: non-crystalline skin layer, shear zone and spherulites core. The average diameter of spherulites of these micro columns decreases with the decreasing of the micro columns' diameter. X-ray microbeam diffraction test results reveal that micro columns have α-phase and β-phase.
