Many-body theory of carrier capture and relaxation in semiconductor quantum-dot lasers

For quantum dots on a wetting layer, the role of Coulomb scattering and carrierphonon interaction for carrier capture and relaxation of carriers between the quantum-dot levels are studied theoretically.
