摘要

Using synthesis-by-design method we have produced new diamond/pyrocarbon composite materials based on nano-size(NDC)and submicron-size diamond(DPC).Both NDC and DPC have the controlled mass ratio of sp~2-carbon-to-diamond(sp~2/sp~3 ratio)by filling the pores with pyrolytic carbon.The composition and diamond grain size of studied samples is shown in the Table 1.The composites are novel class of materials with low emission threshold fields and convenient objects to explore a specific role of volume and surface electrical conductivity in the emission process.
