摘要

Numerical simulation study on wake generation caused by hydrofoil has been executed by incompressible fluid model. Equation of motion has been attached with damper to stabilize of numerical integration. Van del Pol self-exiting type damper has been employed for numerical integration by finite difference model. Water surface dynamics above hydrofoil is simulated by devised algorithm for boundary condition between water and air. Wake and splash above the hydrofoil are modeled and graphically displayed. Effect of obstacle placed before the hydrofoil in water is discussed on the lift to drag ratio through the simulation. The hydrofoil was found to be very robust for the obstacle.
