The influence of fuel mixture composition, especially with oxygenated hydrocarbons, on PAH yields was examined using detailed chemical kinetic model. N-heptane was selected as a reference fuel. Methanol, dimethyl ether (DME), dimethoxy methane (DMM) and methyl butanoate (MB) were used as oxygenated hydrocarbons. It was confirmed that PAH yields reach to the maximum in equilibrium temperature regime between 1600 and 1700K, regardless of fuel mixture composition and initial temperature. In addition, it was found that the addition of oxygenated hydrocarbons remarkably suppresses PAH yields rather than the addition of oxygen molecules, due to the differences of chemical reaction passes.
