The role of EMEP in albatement strategies within the convention on long range transboundary air pollutants

The EMEP Protocol was the first of the Protocols to be agreed under the UNECE Conventin on ong Range transboundary Air Pollution.the ClRTAP ocnvention was agreed in 1979 and was conceived to address the problem of acidifcation in northern Europe.The EMEP Protocol was established in 1984 to provide the scientific underpining for the Converntion and the subsequent Portocols which have bene agreed within it.
